A Plant You Cannot Kill: An art exhibition by Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu

Fresco is thrilled to present "A Plant You Cannot Kill" by Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu, a playful reflection on plant life that explores our connections and resemblances with this ecosystem.

Plants are an imminent, inescapable part of our natural environment. Yadichinma breathes “new life” into these plant portraits through her lino-cut prints and striking use of abstractions, offering a fresh perspective on her personal connection with plants and the relationship of her community with them. Delving into the practice of plant ownership, she introduces her Vases — delicate objects that symbolise a place of growth, vessels carrying life, mimicking some of nature's organic shapes.

“A Plant You Cannot Kill” is an invitation to learn, be curious and share communal gratitude for the plant life that surrounds us and explore idea that we, like plants, possess the ability to grow and thrive despite our surroundings.
